~~REMEMBERING~~

This page is dedicated to the loved ones that we have lost.  Most of which were taken from us far before their time.  Below are each of their stories.  Always remember that when they are gone we never feel like we have spent enough time or shown enough love.  That is when it is to late.  So take your time, love and care for these incredible animals that strive each day to please, are always happy to see you  and never talk back.  Their loyalty, trust and character should be celebrated while they are alive, not just remembered after they are gone.

"LADS COBALT PRINCE"      and      "DIVINE PROVIDENCE"

The two stallions pictured above were the most incredible and loving of stallions.   They were only in my life for a short time.  But in that time they touched me on a very deep level.  I find it hard to even consider replacing them, because that simply could not be done.  They showed me more than I thought was ever possible and taught me more than I  could have ever taught them.  They were my rocks, my buddies, my boys.  I remember the days I bought both of them off the pastures at the great Sheldak Ranch in North Dakota.  The sheer giddyness of it all, and all the thoughts of the future were overwhelming and wonderful.  I remember the pride I had at their first shows, the first rides and the first foals.  The pride I had when others would meet them and choose them for their mares.  I will always have those memories locked inside my heart, that simply can not be taken from me.  My Boys were taken from me by poisoning at the hands of someone that will someday pay for their choice.  To take out such unnecessary violence on these beautiful, majestic and innocent gifts from God, one can only try to understand.  But I will stand the sons, for I truly believe in them and believe that they passed the best of themselves on to their foals.  So through the sons and daughters of these two wonderful stallions I will continue with my dream.  The personalities, temperaments and conformations of these stallions was unsurpassed.  I watched on numerous occasions, these stallions change the way many people thought of stallions.  They showed that Stallions were not "Fire Breathing Dragons", out to mame and hurt.  They watched small children ride and handle these stallions with ease.  They won the hearts of anyone that met them and would continue to surprise and delight those of us that were fortunate enough to spend our time with them.  I often find myself daydreaming that they are just outside still.  Their loss has affected me in ways I can not even describe.  I will on many occassions call one of their sons by their names, not because of any reason other than their sons are so much like them in everyway.  I will continue to morn their loss and I will always remember them as my little boys. (Most of the Stallions Standing at this ranch and many of the horses for sale on this site are the sons and daughters of these two incredible stallions.)

"Foxy"

This is a hard story to write. Remembering Foxy and all the joy he created is a humbling experience. Foxy was given to us by a dear friend as a present for our then 8 year old daughter. Over the years he proved himself again and again. Foxy did everything from trails to cows, barrels and games to english. He taught many to ride and caused many to laugh at his personality. He was irreplaceable as a teacher to our young horses and in particularly our young studs. He taught them manners and patience. He was a babysitter with children as well as the foals he was put in charge of. Foxy always had a nicker for you and a surprise to give. He warmed the hearts of many and his death will always be felt as a loss. Foxy had a wonderfully long and happy life and was the happiest when his little girl (now married with children of her own) was on his back. Foxy you will be remembered lovely and with tears for the loss from our lives. Join your friends in the great green pasture and know that you will never be forgotten. Foxy passed on December 5th, 2007.

"HARD LIQUOR BLUES"

I have added an addition to this page.  It was one of Cobalt's sons.  One of his most beautiful and one that mirrored his temperament and disposition.  This colt deserves to be remembered with passion and love and will be missed.  His name was "Hard Liquor Blues" and he was going to be the base for my daughters breeding program.  Just a few weeks ago this stallion met an untimely and unfortunate death.  He was playing in his pasture and hit a root just right.  The break was bad and unfixable.  And his loss will go on being felt.  Those of us that have horses know the fear of something just as this happening.  And it can not always be avoided, that is why it is called an "ACCIDENT".  Rest easy dear Beau we love and miss you tremedously.

In Loving Memory of "Fantasy in Blue"

In Loving Memory of Fantasy in Blue. Tess went to a new home in April of 2009 and was unfortunately humanely euthanized due to a broken leg 3 weeks later. Tess was a Reg. ApHC Mare that posessed the best of the best in the Appaloosa line. She was 90% Foundation Bred. Tess beginnng in this world was not the easiest with loosing her Momma at 45 days. She soon proved to be an outstanding filly with a tons of intelligence and will. She made life a joy and was truly a pocket pet. She loved attention and in true form of her breed learned everything at an amazing pace. Herd reduction forced her sale and that is a hindsight is 20/20 moment for me. Tess you were missed when you left here and you will be missed forever now. Be in peace my little one and run with your Momma again.
